Field to Market Announces Election of Two New Members to the Board of Directors

December 19, 2019

Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture recently welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, with balanced representation of three representatives from each of the Alliance’s five membership sectors, Affiliate, Agribusiness, Brands & Retail, Civil Society and Growers. The new Board of Directors will convene in January 2020 with a continued focus on steering the organization through the implementation of its Three-Year Strategic Plan.

“We are delighted to welcome new members to the Field to Market Board of Directors,” said Rod Snyder, president of Field to Market. “The diversity and expertise of our leadership continues to strengthen the Alliance’s commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes for all of U.S. agriculture. We look forward to expanding the expertise and leadership of our Board as we move into an exciting year of growth for our members and programs.”

Joining the Board of Directors are Chad Bloom and Megan Weidner, who were both elected to serve a three-year term.

  • Chad Bloom of Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever represents the nation’s leading conservation organization working with upland habitat. Building off the philosophies that there is place for conservation on every farm or ranch and that habitat is a tool, Pheasants Forever has built a robust partnership with growers and ranchers across the United States. Throughout his career nearly decade long career at Pheasants Forever, Chad has built partnerships that have delivered results at the local, state and national level. Chad’s work focuses on understanding challenges, bringing partners together and delivering voluntary conservation habitat solutions in the ground that benefit farmers, ranchers, sustainable outcomes and wildlife.
  • Megan Weidner joined Bunge North America in 2015 as the vice president, corporate responsibility and sustainability. Megan is active in the industry with organizations such as Field to Market, North American Palm Oil Network, National Black Growers Council, and MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences); and also serves on the Board of Directors for Agriculture Future of America. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia in soil, environmental, and atmospheric science, a Graduate Certificate in advanced studies in environmental policy and management from the University of Denver and a leadership certificate from Washington University in St. Louis. Megan is a native of northeast Ohio and currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

At their first meeting of 2020, the new Board of Directors will elect new representatives to serve on the Executive Committee. Field to Market extends its thanks to Chair Stefani Millie Grant of Unilever, Vice Chair Jeremy Peters of NACD, Treasurer Brandon Hunnicutt of the National Corn Growers Association and Secretary Michelle Nutting of Nutrien for their leadership across their two-year term as Executive Committee officers. Thank you also our departing board members, Ryan Sirolli of Cargill and Melissa Ho of the World Wildlife Fund for their service to the organization during this year.
